Wedding Photography FAQ's

So at this time of the year I am usually out and about capturing beautiful brides with their handsome grooms, but as we know many weddings have now been postponed until later in the year or for some couples next year.

So If you are planning your special day then here are a few of the the most frequently asked Wedding Photography questions I receive.

Wedding Photography Q&A and hopefully some helpful answers

Q. How would you describe your style of photography?

If I had to choose three words to describe my photography  they would be , natural,  joyful and relaxed

My aim is to be like a friend with a camera at your wedding using my relaxed style to blend in and tell the story of your day.I will offer gentle guidance and direction when required but am definatetly not some one who likes to pose people very much. When it comes to family photo time I do my very best to make it quick and fun ( because lets face it who wants to spend an hour standing in line ups). This way I can provide a collection of images full of genuine moments, gorgeous portraits and all the stunning details that make you day one of a kind

Q. What does "full day coverage mean"?

A. Every wedding day is different. If you need me to start at 8.30am in the morning or if you are planing to have fireworks near the end of the night and want me to be there, I'm there. I have nowhere else to be that day and no other jobs so my day is your day. I do ask for us to agree a start and finish time offer me though so theres no confusion about when I'm turning upon leaving.

Q. We've paid our deposit , when do you need us to pay the rest?

Firstly if you have paid a deposit thank you for booking me. Your non-refundable deposit secures your wedding date in my diary. All I ask is for the remaining balance to paid 3 weeks before the wedding day at the absolute latest. You can pay by bank transfer cash, by instalments or all in one go - the choice is yours

Q. What is an engagement shoot and do we need to have one?

The simple is no, you don't have to have one, but I do include a couples shoot with each of my wedding packages.

So many of my couples are so glad they chose to have one, its a great way to feel comfortable and confident before being photographed on your wedding day. They really help with nerves and it gives us a chance to work together and get to know each other more before your big day.

You can choose 3 digital images form your session to keep ( there is the option to buy more) and they can be used for save the dates, as part of your guest book or just simply to have at home

Q. How long will it take until we get our edited photographs?

Wedding season can be very hectic and wedding do take a while for me to sort through and edit properly. I will always try and get your wedding photo sent to you in timely fashion ( approx 2-3 weeks), but also i will not rush them, so they are of the best quality.

Q. How Many edited photographs will we get?

A For a full day wedding shoot i give my couples and average of 300-400 edited pictures. These are all your to keep! You can then begin the hard task of selecting which ones you would like in your album .

Q. Can we, our family and friends order prints of our wedding photos from you?

Absolutely! If you have an online photo gallery, which is standard with all my packages, you, your family and friends will be able to look at the photos and order prints too. All you need to do is give them my web address and the password to access the gallery which i will give you as soon as soon as i get it set up. the gallery will then remain online for 12 months after that.
